Shorewood Pool is a fun, busy place with a true community feel, having many familiar faces returning each day. We pride ourselves on creating a contagiously positive atmosphere, in making the pool one of the most enjoyable destinations to visit, and for simply having the best group of people that you will find anywhere!
 
The Village of Shorewood Hills is seeking staff members who are dependable, responsible, and who enjoy hard work, but who can also enjoy the fun and enthusiastic nature of an outdoor pool. There is a well-balanced mix of work and fun throughout the summer, and we continually enjoy the many staff members who return each year for another season. We are conveniently located on the near west-side of Madison, just past the UW Hospital near the campus with easy access from multiple bus routes or bike.
Interested in working as a Lifeguard at Shorewood Hills Pool?
  • In order to work as a lifeguard in any setting a Lifeguard/CPR/AED and First Aid certification is required. 
  • These Certifications last 2 years from the certification date.
  • In Wisconsin lifeguards also complete a CPR recertification in between the first and second year of the certification.
  • In order receive lifeguard certification you must be 15 years of age. Specifics on certification courses can be found here.
  • Some Lifeguard Certification Courses in the Madison Area include: MSCR, Verona Area School District and the YMCA of Dane County

Ways to fill out the application: 

1. Electronically – The above application is a fillable PDF. Download the file and rename it: YourName.SWApplication2024 and email to: poolmanager@shorewood-hills.org                       
(Please make sure you save your changes frequently, to an identified location on your computer while filling out the application.) 
2) Hard copy - print the PDF, fill it out, and scan it into your computer/phone or drop it off at the village hall (810 Shorewood Blvd. Madison, WI 53705). (Mon - Thurs 8am-5pm) (Fri 8am-12pm)  
Once you have signed, completed your application and sent it in you should receive a confirmation email within a few days, so please make sure you check your email and reach out if you don’t hear back.

Pool Facility: 
The facility is amazing - click here for more info about Shorewood Pool. Our pool operates on seasonal memberships that are open to both Shorewood Hills residents as well as those from all-around the Madison area. A typical day at the pool will incorporate open swim times as well as organized programs that include swim and dive lessons, swim and dive teams, water ballet, masters swimming, and water aerobics. The pool is generally in use from 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM. In addition, we host events such as a water ballet show, a triathlon, swim and dive meets, and various membership events.
